I’m Dr. Jackson Adamowicz, a sports performance physical therapist at The Mobile Athlete, just outside Atlanta, GA. I work with athletes and active people who want to recover from injury and come back stronger, more resilient, and more confident in their bodies than before.
My path here started with an injury of my own. In high school, I dislocated my patella during a basketball game and spent eight weeks in an immobilizing brace, sidelined from the sport I loved, and unsure if I’d get back to the level I wanted. That stretch taught me that rehab is about more than exercises; it’s about rebuilding confidence in a body that just let you down. It’s also where I found what I wanted to do: work at the intersection of sport and rehabilitation, and help people get back to what they love.
I went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Cencentration in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Purdue University, graduating summa cum laude. I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Mayo Clinic I’m also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and dry needle certified. This training shapes how I think about rehab: not just eliminating pain, but rebuilding strength, capacity, and performance. Along the way I’ve trained for and finished half marathos, full marathons, and an Ironman 70.3. You will always find me competing with my athletes in the clinic, and participating in just about every recreational sport you can think of.
